Una derivazione semplice delle proprietaà di stabilità del "Tippe Top"

We consider the problem of the inversion of stability in the gyroscopic top known in literature as Tippe Top taking place in dynamical conditions. Such a top has a spherical shape with the baricenter not coincident with the geometrical center. The same problem has been investigated in many papers using various methods (here we refer in particular to [2] and [5]). We will show that the tech- nique employed in [2] can be simplified, leading in a much simpler way to the conditions implying the stability inversion (i.e. the transition from the config- uration in which the baricenter lie below the geometrical center to the opposite one) in the form enunciated in [5]. The method utilized allows to obtain stability result concerning non-spherical tops.
