Mertens Theorem and Closed Orbits Of Ergodic Toral Automorphisms

In this paper we consider closed orbits of an ergodic (not necessarily hyperbolic) toral automorphism and prove an analogue of Mertens theorem of analytic number theory for these closed orbits.
