Identifying the tourist preferences of sports fans will help to adjust the offered services of cities that are organising sports competitions. In this paper, the author focuses on speedway fans. Sports fans are people who are very attached to their national or club colours. Sport in a fan’s life can influence their choices in daily life or when they are organising a tourist trip. The point of this article was to determinate tourist preferences of speedway’s fans. Tourist preferences were evaluated on the basis of online surveys. Accumulated data was analysed by descriptive statistic. This research is the first one ever to be conducted on a group of speedway fans. The intention of the author of this article was to determine the choices made by the examined persons. Speedway sport in Poland is one of the most popular sports disciplines. Respondents indicated that the most frequent motive for their tourist trips is leisure tourism. Fans indicated in their replies to the questionnaire that when they go to an international sports competition, in addition to the competition itself, they also visit the cities where the competition takes place. When it comes to planning their holidays, the respondents indicated that they were guided by the choice of a holiday spot where the speedway competitions take place. Fan-tourism is becoming more and more popular, which is why researchers are more interested in this subject. The conducted research is considered to be the first step in further research and analysis among sports fans.
