On the $\mathcal F$-hypercentre of a finite group

Our main goal here is to give a short survey of some recent results of the theory of the $\mathcal F$-hypercentre of finite groups.
Keywords: saturated formation, hereditary formation, ${\mathcal F}$-critical group, $\mathcal F$-maximal subgroup, ${\mathcal F}$-hypercentre, nilpotent group, supersoluble group, boundary condition.
