Linear operators in Hilbert spaces with $G$-metric

In this article we present the basic facts of a general theory of linear operators in Hilbert spaces equipped with a Hermitian-bilinear metric. In particular, we investigate the spectra of operators of certain classes, most frequently encountered in applications.
